Subject: formaldehyde sensor
Hello, Does anyone know of a formaldehyde sensor that will detect formaldehyde concentrations exclusive of methanol? We are trying to mitigate the concentration of formaldehyde (~400 ppm?) in smokestack effluent, but we need to know exactly what we are starting with to tell how much good we're doing with our remediation process. The sensor we were looking at will not distinguish between methanol and formaldehyde. The plan is to put one sensor upstream of the process and another downstream, hook the whole thing to a PC to monitor continuously. Flows will be arount 40 cu. ft./min. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jackie -- *********** Jackie Schryer AMDB/Swales B1200/Rm. 219 MS 493 44727
